1 Seriously Injured In Overnight Long Island Crash

One person suffered severe injuries in an overnight Long Island crash.

The crash happened around 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, in Ronkonkoma.

It happened around 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, in Ronkonkoma.

A 60-year-old Ronkonkoma man was driving a 2015 Kia sedan southbound on Ocean Avenue when the vehicle struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street at the intersection of Johnson Avenue.

The pedestrian, a 35-year-old man from Daly City, California, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries. 

The driver of the Kia was not injured.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
